Central Jersey Model United Nations & Congress

Welcome to Central Jersey Model United Nations/Congress!

On behalf of Highland Park Model UN/Congress and the Institute for Domestic and International Affairs, we invite you to participate in Central Jersey Model United Nations/Congress 2018. The conference will take place on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at Highland Park High School.

At the fourth annual CJMUNC, we are excited once again to offer students opportunities to debate relevant topics, pass resolutions, and explore a diverse set of domestic and international issues. As UN member states and congresspeople, students will be able to choose between UN organizations, Congressional committees, specialized bodies, and various advanced committees. In each committee, delegates will explore distinctions between international and national politics, as well as examine the ability of individuals to create change on each level.

Our theme this year is youth movements. How can young people create change in society? As youth movements continue to play a role in shaping the current political discussion, we also reflect on past movements and the ability of all individuals to drive change. In every committee at CJMUNC, you will have the chance to explore the history, value, efficiency, and importance of student protests. At the same time, students will be encouraged to focus on public speaking, debate, and research skills. As in years past, students will further explore the world at our international lunch!

If you have any questions regarding the conference or registration, please feel free to contact us at cjmunchelp@gmail.com. We will do our best to accommodate your needs in any way possible.

We look forward to hosting you!
