The General Assembly is the main deliberative organ of the UN and is composed of representatives of all Member States. The work of the United Nations year-round derives largely from the mandates given by the GA. At RUMUN, the General Assembly committees offer the broadest substantive focus of all committees. Typically the largest committees at the conference, the General Assembly offers students the chance to learn about the United Nations as a whole, and to develop global priorities and initiatives.
