The following schedule is tentative, and is subject to change. A final schedule will be released approximately one week before the conference.
Conference training workshops are dynamic, interactive sessions in which students will have the opportunity to learn specific Model Congress skills like Caucusing, Public Speaking, and the role of political parties. These sessions will offer an opportunity to acclimate to RMC conference environment, and to make final preparations before the conference.
IDIA’s unique Conference Workshops offer students the opportunity to further develop their skills, or to assess their Model Congress experience while applying what they have learned. Whether its developing public speaking skills, or learning how RMC topics relate to civic participation and engagement throughout the United States, these interactive sessions are a critical opportunity for student-growth.
Typical events include a dance, movie, karaoke, trivia, and more!
Contextualization of the conference experience offers students a hands-on opportunity to participate in the conference theme. Tailored specifically to RMC 2020, this activity will challenge students to think critically about the theme outside of their designated roles.
RMC’s committee staff are specifically trained to bring the Model Congress conference into every day relevance and to discuss students can continue their involvement in the substantive areas of the topics of debate.
